AVNL Supercharges Global Defence Export Push With Dynatron Mandate
AVNL has chosen Dynatron Services to help sell its defence products in global markets, as India’s defence exports grow fast and public sector companies push harder for international buyers.
AVNL Supercharges Global Defence Export: India is trying harder to sell more defence products to other countries, and now a big state-owned company has taken help from a private firm for that job. Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd, better known as AVNL, has given Dynatron Services the work of promoting its defence products in important foreign markets. The deal is for two years and is aimed at helping AVNL reach more buyers in places like Africa, the Gulf, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
In FY 2025-26, the country’s defence exports touched a record Rs 38,424 crore. That was Rs 14,802 crore higher than the previous year’s Rs 23,622 crore. It means exports jumped by 62.66%. Government data also showed that defence public sector companies and private firms both played a big part in this rise.
What does AVNL makes?
AVNL is based in Tamil Nadu and is one of India’s major defence public sector companies. It makes armoured fighting vehicles and other military mobility systems for the Indian armed forces. Its products include main battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, bridge laying systems, special military vehicles, engines and other key parts used in defence platforms.
The company is known for making important Indian defence platforms such as the Arjun Main Battle Tank and the BMP-2 ‘Sarath’ Infantry Combat Vehicle. It also works on upgrades and long-term support so these systems can keep working well for many years. This kind of support is important because armies do not just buy vehicles, they also need them repaired, improved and kept ready for use.
With this new mandate, Dynatron Services will represent AVNL’s product range in several overseas regions. The company will talk to possible customers, including defence forces, and help build business for AVNL in those markets. It will also support the wider push to take Indian-made defence systems and assemblies to more countries.

Armoured Vehicles Nigam (AVNL), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has authorised Dynatron as its channel partner to support the export of defence products across key international markets.
Under the two-year mandate, Dynatron will represent AVNL’s portfolio in regions including Africa, the Gulf, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. The partnership will focus on engaging potential customers, including defence forces, and facilitating market development for indigenously developed platforms.
Headquartered in Avadi, AVNL manufactures a range of armoured fighting vehicles and combat mobility systems for the Indian Armed Forces. Its portfolio includes main battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, bridge-laying systems and specialised military vehicles, along with engines and critical assemblies. The company is also known for indigenous platforms such as the Arjun main battle tank and the BMP-2 ‘Sarath’.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening India’s defence export ecosystem by combining public sector manufacturing capabilities with private sector execution. Dynatron is expected to support structured engagement in emerging markets that are modernising their defence capabilities and exploring diversified procurement sources.

India’s tank maker AVNL ramps up defence export push; taps Dynatron for global expansion
Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd (AVNL) has appointed Dynatron Services to spearhead the export of its defence products, including armoured fighting vehicles and combat mobility platforms, to international markets
In what could be seen as a major step in strengthening India’s defence export ecosystem with increasing participation from the private sector in supporting the global outreach of state-owned defence manufacturing companies, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd (AVNL) granted a mandate to Dynatron Services to promote and support the export of its defence products across major international markets.
The development comes even as the export by DPSUs has risen by over 150 per cent in the financial year 2026-26. In the same period, India’s defence exports have touched an all-time high of Rs 38,424 crore, marking a massive rise of ₹14,802 crore (62.66 per cent) over the previous fiscal year’s figure of ₹23,622 crore.
The Tamil Nadu-headquartered AVNL is one of India’s leading defence public sector enterprises engaged in the manufacturing of armoured fighting vehicles and combat mobility platforms for the Indian armed forces. The company’s portfolio includes main battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, bridge layer systems, specialised military vehicles, engines and critical assemblies.
The manufacturer of key indigenous platforms such as the Arjun Main Battle Tank and the BMP-2 ‘Sarath’ Infantry Combat Vehicle, among others, AVNL also offers upgrade and sustainment programmes that support long-term operational readiness of defence platforms.
The mandate will enable Dynatron to represent AVNL’s product portfolio across various regions, including Africa, Gulf countries, Central Asia and Southeast Asia for two years.
According to Dynatron Services, the company will now be able to engage with potential customers, including defence forces, on behalf of AVNL. It will also support expanding the global reach of indigenously developed defence platforms and assemblies.
The partnership is expected to complement AVNL’s export strategy by enabling structured engagement in emerging and strategically important markets, many of which are actively modernising their defence capabilities and exploring diversified sourcing options.

Crown Defence launches PCB assembly facility in Goa
Crown Defence has launched an indigenous Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly facility in Verna, Goa, under Aviatech Enterprises Pvt. Ltd (AEPL). The facility is aimed at enhancing domestic capabilities in high-reliability electronics for both defence and selected civil applications. The facility is designed to support mission-critical electronics across various sectors, including aviation, maritime, and industrial systems.
High-precision PCB assembly for diverse applications
It offers high-precision PCB assembly solutions for boards ranging in size from 80 × 80 mm to 460 × 460 mm, with a thickness capability between 0.4 mm and 8 mm, adhering to controlled edge clearance standards of 3–5 mm. Operational from March 2026, the facility meets reliability, consistency, and traceability standards essential for strategic programmes and is positioned to engage with both domestic and international projects.
The AEPL facility is more than just a manufacturing site; it serves as a strategic electronics capability hub to meet the rising demand for domestic PCB assembly solutions. The Indian PCBA market is currently valued at about US$ 6.3 billion, with a growth rate of nearly 16 percent CAGR, fuelled by increased demand in defence and industrial sectors. With over 1,000 items now covered under government import restrictions—many of which were previously sourced internationally—ensuring access to reliable domestic assembly capacity has become crucial.
Strategic importance
According to Vice Admiral (Retd) Paras Nath, the Group President of Crown, “Electronics availability increasingly determines platform readiness and upgrade cycles. Establishing in-country PCB assembly capability improves supply predictability and supports India’s broader objectives of reducing external dependencies across defence and critical civil sectors.”
Integration enhances quality and execution
Commodore (Retd) S.K. Iyer, Head – Aviation, Aviatech Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, added, “The Verna unit enables tighter integration between electronics assembly and downstream aviation support activities, enhancing quality control and execution timelines for modernisation, upgrades and sustainment programmes.”
Supporting long-term defence and industrial readiness
Crown Defence functions through specialised subsidiaries providing maintenance, repair, overhaul, upgrades, and modernisation services in both defence and civil sectors. The integration of PCB assembly capabilities at AEPL enhances the group’s system-level sustainment strengths, furthering its commitment to supporting India’s long-term defence and industrial readiness.
