AVNL has chosen Dynatron Services to help sell its defence products in global markets, as India’s defence exports grow fast and public sector companies push harder for international buyers.
AVNL Supercharges Global Defence Export: India is trying harder to sell more defence products to other countries, and now a big state-owned company has taken help from a private firm for that job. Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd, better known as AVNL, has given Dynatron Services the work of promoting its defence products in important foreign markets. The deal is for two years and is aimed at helping AVNL reach more buyers in places like Africa, the Gulf, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
In FY 2025-26, the country’s defence exports touched a record Rs 38,424 crore. That was Rs 14,802 crore higher than the previous year’s Rs 23,622 crore. It means exports jumped by 62.66%. Government data also showed that defence public sector companies and private firms both played a big part in this rise.
What does AVNL makes?
AVNL is based in Tamil Nadu and is one of India’s major defence public sector companies. It makes armoured fighting vehicles and other military mobility systems for the Indian armed forces. Its products include main battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, bridge laying systems, special military vehicles, engines and other key parts used in defence platforms.
The company is known for making important Indian defence platforms such as the Arjun Main Battle Tank and the BMP-2 ‘Sarath’ Infantry Combat Vehicle. It also works on upgrades and long-term support so these systems can keep working well for many years. This kind of support is important because armies do not just buy vehicles, they also need them repaired, improved and kept ready for use.
With this new mandate, Dynatron Services will represent AVNL’s product range in several overseas regions. The company will talk to possible customers, including defence forces, and help build business for AVNL in those markets. It will also support the wider push to take Indian-made defence systems and assemblies to more countries.
