The electronic repair centre is to be established in Goa, which will cater to maintenance engineering services and is intended to be functional in 2023.
French electronic system manufacturing and testing group, Spherea signed an MoU with Crown Group, a defence maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) firm on Wednesday at DefExpo 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Both companies to establish an electronic repair centre for the development and deployment of maintenance test solutions for the Indian defence sector under “Make in India.”
According to the statement, the electronic repair centre is to be established in Goa, which will cater maintenance engineering services, including repair and life extension solutions for electronic devices. However, the repair centre is intended to be inaugurated in 2023.

We look forward to building the partnership with Spherea and utilising our respective technical expertise and capabilities, towards enhancing operational availability of aircraft fleets and contributing to the security of the nation,” Rear Adm Devender Sudan (Retd) said, Head of Aerospace division, Crown Group Defence.
Regarding the tie-up, Florence Pabon, Vice President (Sales) of Spherea Group said that India and France have a long history of defence cooperation and this partnership will add another milestone to this glorious relationship. Spherea has been in the business of design, manufacturing and support of automatic test equipment (ATE), test programs, test systems and associated services intended for the development, integration, production and maintenance of electronic Systems, according to the statement.
